It's the last day of March! How exciting is that?!
Today, we are going to begin a new fiction story called, 'An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge' by Ambrose Bierce. This is a historical fiction story with a twist! To begin our unit, let's take out our Writing About Reading Section and write down the following journal prompt:
What do you fear? Briefly discuss one or two of your fears.
Set a timer on your phone, laptop, tablet, etc... for 7 minutes. Write about the above question for the WHOLE TIME. Keep your pen or pencil on the paper and just continue writing. This will help build your writing stamina...this is hard and that is ok!
Once the timer goes off, download a copy of your new story. Follow the link below. If you can print your story, that would be great, but if not, I will post the link to the story every day. Once your story is downloaded, read it and be ready for some comprehension activities tomorrow!
